In the app the camera calls each make or miss. If it gets one wrong, you fix it on the shot chart after you end the session. Set the phone back far enough to see the 3-point line, and it scores each make from where your feet are at release: 2 points inside the line, 3 beyond it. Sound is the real court audio, with the net swish lifted a little on every make. A clank off the rim never decides the call: the app watches the ball, so a shot that hits the rim and drops through counts as a make.
